Shayna Bauer
Exercise Scientist & Physiology Student
Shayna was born and bred in Perth, WA and interestingly has lived in the same house since she was born. She grew up with two older sisters and completely obsessed with animals! Her favourite sport has been netball and when she was younger her favourite sporting team was the West Coast Eagles. However, as they always won, she decided to support a losing team (her words not ours :)) and have supported Fremantle Dockers since 2005. She is a qualified Personal Trainer and has been for 3 years along with being a gymnastics coach to kids for 7 years.
Shayna is also a qualified Teacher however, she is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science and Rehabilitation) and hopes to graduate in June 2021, where she’ll be a qualified Exercise Physiologist. She decided to become an Exercise Physiologist after living with hip dysplasia into adult hood and having many joint issues. This has resulted in 8 surgeries in the last 5 years. The countless hours of rehab sparked her interest in this field.
Fun fact: Shayna was a patient of Lee’s in 2017 and then in 2019 she then completed a Uni prac unit at Exofit which has led her to working in the studio in 2020. She is also currently completing her final prac placement with us.
In her spare time she loves to play with her nieces and nephews, go to the gym, day road trips to explore WA and at night she loves watching the sunset at the beach. Her favourite food is chocolate, it cannot be left in the house or studio as she’ll eat it!
